Invitation of Applications for Direct Entry Admission to Ordinary Diploma Programmes and Ordinary Diploma Pre-Entry (Access) Course Fy 2010/ 2011
Water Development and Management Institute (WDMI) [formerly known as Rwegarulila Water Resources Institute] is fully registered by the National Council for Technical Education (NACTE) and its Ordinary Diploma Programmes are fully accredited by NACTE.
APPLICATION FOR ADMISSION TO ORDINARY DIPLOMA PROGRAMMES (DIRECT ENTRY) FOR PRIVATELY-SPONSORED STUDENTS
Ordinary Diploma Programmes FY 2010/ 2011:
(1) Water Supply and Sanitation Engineering
(2) Hydrology
(3) Hydrogeology and Water-Well Drilling
(4) Water Laboratory Technology
Applying students should have private means of meeting the cost of training, i.e. tuition fee, living expenses (meals, lodging, hygiene, etc), travelling, commuting, secretarial and stationery expenses, books, special apparel, industrial field training expenses, etc. Joining instructions will be sent to selected candidates.
Admission requirements:
(1) A holder of Certificate of Secondary Education (CSE) with passes (D or better grade) in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry; or
(2) A holder of Vocational Education and Training Trade Test Grade I (NTA level 3) certificate in relevant field and CSE who sat for Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry among other subjects in CSEE, and passed (D or better grade) in any two of those subjects
Deadline for receiving application forms:
Duly filled application forms and the attachments should be sent as early as possible so as to reach WDMI not later than 30th June 2010.
Date for beginning of lessons for 2010/ 2011:
Orientation and registration week shall begin on 2nd August 2010 and semester 1 lessons shall begin on 9th August 2010.
APPLICATION FOR ADMISSION TO ORDINARY DIPLOMA PRE-ENTRY (ACCESS) COURSE FOR PRIVATELY-SPONSORED STUDENTS
Applying students should have private means of meeting the cost of training, i.e. tuition fee, living expenses (meals, hygiene, etc), travelling, commuting, secretarial and stationery expenses, books, etc. The Institute shall provide sleeping accommodation (a bed and a mattress) free of charge to ALL registered students. Joining instructions will be sent to selected candidates.
Admission requirements:
(3) A holder of Certificate of Secondary Education (CSE) who sat for Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry among other subjects in CSEE, and passed (D or better grade) in any two of those subjects; or
(4) A holder of Vocational Education and Training Trade Test Grade I (NTA level 3) certificate in relevant field and CSE who sat for Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry among other subjects in CSEE, and passed (D or better grade) in any one of those subjects; or
(5) A holder of General Certificate of Engineering (GCE)

Application forms are available from the Accounting Department at WDMI. Completed forms and relevant attachments should be sent to: Principal, Water Development and Management Institute, P. O. Required attachments are original pay-in-slip for application fee (TSh. 10,000) payable to Water Development and Management Institute, Account ¹ 2251000004, NMB, Mlimani City Branch, Dares Salaam and certified true copies of educational certificates and birth certificate
